surf fishing rod question?
I want to buy a surf rod for my husbands birthday. I don’t know what to look for. Don’t want to spend a fortune. Help!
Walmart and Academy will have some inexpensive surf rods and they work just fine. Most will be identified as a surf fishing setup but the basics of what you are looking for is something with a rod that is between 8 and 12 feet long and is setup with typically a spinning reel that can handle up to 25 pound test if not more.

buy an okuma tundra they are good rods and are cheap! a 12 footer is 30 bucks(if he’s a begginer i would recomend an 8 or 10 ft rod.
